About Max Options
Max Options is a binary options broker that uses the Spot Option and Live Trader platform. This binary options broker began operations in late 2014, so they are still considered rookies in the binary options world.
I searched hard to find the owner of Max Options, and I discovered only one sign: at the bottom of their website’s terms and conditions is a copyright notice listed as TechPlex Ltd. I found a TechPlex Ltd in London that is listed as an automotive parts and repair. Could it be the same?
Well, from what I see, that is 1 check-mark against Max Options; transparency is an issue.
Max Options History
After searching high and low through the Max Options website, I finally found an about us page. Max Options says they have been working in the financial markets for over 10 years, but in 2014, they started the Max Options binary options trading website.
Max Options contracted with the developers of the Spot Option trading platform, and they are using the Live Trader system to deliver signals to investors in whatever method they are using.
At this time, the Max Options system is only available in English.
Max Options Terms and Conditions
As I always tell investors, one of the best methods to truly understand the operations of a binary options broker is to examine their terms and conditions. I opened the page in Max Options and this is just some of what I found:
- Investment information on the website should not be considered investment advice
- An account with no activity for 3 months is considered dormant and will be charged a monthly fee of $99 until account is depleted or user begins trading again
- The client ensures they are of sound mind, legal age and legally able to trade in binary options in the country they reside in
This is just a very small portion of the Max Options terms and conditions. I must reiterate, read and understand them completely before creating an account.
Max Options Withdrawal and Bonus Terms
To withdraw from Max Options, investors must supply compliance documents. This will include a copy of their photo identification, a utility bill or bank statement showing the individual’s name and address and a copy of the credit card used to deposit.
If the compliance documents are in order, after a withdrawal request, it can take Max Options up to 5 business days to process the deposit.
Max Options does offer some substantial bonuses, but with those bonuses, there are stipulations. If a trader receives a bonus, he/she must trade in volume 30 times the bonus amount before they can withdraw said bonus, or any profits made while it was active. So, if an investor receives a $100 bonus, they would have to make trades equal to or above $3,000 before they could withdraw.
Max Options Demo Account
I do not believe Max Options offers investors any type of demo account.
Max Options Mobile
The Max Options Live Trader system is mobile friendly. They have an application available for smartphones and another application for tablets. This way, investors can make binary options trades on the go.
Max Options Scam Watch
While the Max Options website seems professionally designed, personally, I would not invest money into it. The fact that they are not licensed or regulated is my first reason, but I am also suspicious of their non-transparency issues.
I will not say that Max Options is a scam, but I have discovered that they are a preferred broker for some automatic trading systems that have been deemed as scams.
My suggestion is to use a more reputable binary options broker, but I am also open to comments. If you have used Max Options as your broker, please tell us the results you have had. I will keep a close eye on this broker, and will keep you updated on any changes.
